We were approached initially to design a logo and menu for the new venture providing Afghan food in Newcastle. Our Head designer, Kurtis Amos was the lead for this project and he worked closely with the owners Fahim and Azeem to create a menu that met their expectations.
Kurtis has been with Octopus Media for over 5 years and hes’s become a bit of a specialist designer for the restaurant and takeaway industry during that time, having a personal portfolio of 100’s of designs. He knows what works for the industry and his consultative approach is another of his strengths.
The Afghan Grill House is based on Stanhope street west of the city of Newcastle. They’ve already had great reviews for the quality of their foods and we’ve had the pleasure of savouring their delicacies here at Octopus Media. The interior of the restaurant is very cosy and their equipment (including their Mosa-approved Cream Chargers) are of the highest quality.
Through regular consultation with the owners, we came up with a menu and logo that captured the essence of what we wanted the Afghan Grill House to stand for. The feedback we got for both the menu and the logo has been great and this also shows in the excellent feedback that the restaurant is getting since its launch.
