Charlie Bear was originally launched as a charity in 1978 by Daisy Clark MBE in memory of her husband Charles. Daisy who is sadly no longer with us, made and sold with the help of a team of volunteers, thousands of teddy bears. This enabled the purchase of the very first CT scanner in the North East.
Since then the charity has continued to raise vital funds to help support people with cancer in a variety of ways. Charlie Bear is now a dedicated charitable fund based at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care and supported by the Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The latest appeal for £3m is intended to establish a cyber-surgery facility in the region, based at the Northern Centre for Cancer Care, Freeman Hospital.
Working closely with several key people from the Freeman Hospital, Octopus Media are proud to showcase the new brand Identity for Charlie Bear. We've created the new website and are looking to help support the marketing campaigns for the cyber-surgery.
